A very special day: Our trip to Elsie’s Peak
„For the First Time in My Life…“ - This was also the motto of our trip to Signal Hill and the beach of Camps Bay a few weeks ago.
“It’s Sunday again”
Every Sunday our Ubomi leaders meet at Khosi and Thomas place in Khayelitsha. Over a cup of tea, Ubomi topics and personal concerns are discussed and we also chat about all kinds of things.
Life is special! Or: The rollercoaster of emotions in the Township
An intensive, special and very rich time in Khayelitsha lies behind us. In the blog post “The Umlungus in the Township” we described our first impressions.
The „Umlungus“ in the Township
Molo, ungani? – Hello, how are you? – are the Xhosa words we learned first and use very often here. All our neighbours - and there are many! – are very nice and curious about the "Umlungus", the white people in the Township.
BECOME A SUPPORTER
We want a peaceful life and better future for our Ubomi children. We believe in this vision. „It always seems impossible until it’s done“. This quote from Nelson Mandela was our motto when we planned and finally opened our first Ubomi house back in 2016. Please continue to help us realize our vision and enable the children, who so deeply deserve it, to have a life worth living.
